1st - 7th May.
This week I have been focusing on starting to tie up the loose ends of my final product. This consisted of starting the 'final stretch' of my editing meaning adding and editing effects where needed, recording more lines/adding more sound effects if needed and making any changes to drawings or making more drawings if needed.
Voice Recording and Sound.
When it came to adding the voice recordings and other sound effects to my edit I found that there were some parts that could be kind of confusing of empty feeling without any added sound effects or speaking, therefore you will probably find that when it comes to my final edit, you will see that my planning [eg. my script, storyboard etc] will be a little bit different to how my final edit looks. An example of this could be the part where Zombie 1's shadow appears and there are added sound effects to emphasise the emotions Jaxon is feeling at that time, or the time where Jaxon is looking at his grave and there are memories flashing on screen representing flashbacks to what happened, therefore showing Jaxon's thoughts and feelings. I also added in some more parts with Jaxon speaking such as the time where he says something along the lines of 'guess I better catch up with them' as it allows the audience to better know what is going on, before I felt as if things could be a bit unclear as I haven’t actually physically drawn Jaxon walking towards the group of other zombies because I didn't have enough time left to create an interesting walk sequence.
Drawings.
Something I realised at this point in the illustration stages was that it had taken me a lot longer than I had expected. At the beginning, because I knew that this was going to be an animatic therefore not everything would be perfectly synced, I thought that I would be able to use the same frames multiple times quite a lot for different parts of the animatic however I found that even after I thought I had finished the drawing stages I still wanted to add more variation to the video as I didn't want to re-use the same parts too much. Because of this, I decided to get to work on drawing some more. These drawings for the most part came out really well and there was a couple of sequences I was particularly proud of.
Now that this part is done I am very confident that my video will be uploaded to YouTube within the next couple of weeks, either at the end of next week (week 9) or the beginning of week 10 in time to get some good feedback and hopefully some views etc. on my video. I am very nervous about sharing this with the world it being my first time posting anything like this and also because I know there are many things I could improve on especially if I had more time.
