Week 10 - Deadline Week!

15th - 19th May.

It's the final week! As I am writing this I am very confident I will get all of my tasks finished as the only things I have to do is add the freesound.org credits to my bibliography and add some of my research references. I got half of my final evaluation done last week and also my evaluation for the finished product itself and will be on track to finishing with the rest of my final evaluation by the deadline date.

Feedback.

This week I had a really overwhelming and unexpected amount of positive feedback on my now pasted finished product. It made me feel really happy and proud of all of the work I have put in.

Below is a video I made of all of the responses I have received so far from both people I know and people I don't.

As I said previously when I wrote the beginning section of my blog, I needed to also write my final evaluation for the whole project. At the point of writing this I have finished this task and am relatively happy with how it came out and happy with the time frame I got it done in. I feel that I answered each of the questions I set for myself well and in detail.

Results.

I'm really proud of myself for uploading my final animatic video to YouTube after 10 weeks of hard work. Before uploading, as you can see in my previous blog, I focused on the SEO side of things to make sure my video would be seen by as many people as possible. I added tags, chapters, a title, a good quality thumbnail, and a description to optimize my video for search engines. I also shared and promoted my video on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and even posted screencaps and release date countdowns leading up to the upload.

To help me check my SEO score, I used an extension called TubeBuddy and it gave me a score of 100%. All of this work before posting really paid off because as of now, my video has around 300 views, and I've received so much positive feedback. It's amazing to see that people are enjoying my project as much as they are, and I never thought that so many people would see it.

I'm really happy that my hard work has paid off and that people are responding so positively to my project. It feels like a big accomplishment to have completed this animatic and to have it be so well-received, especially because it's not even like I have a platform on YouTube already, I was never certain anyone would see my video because I only just created the channel. Moving forward, I want to keep building on this success and continue to improve my skills as a creator.

Overall Goodbye Message.

I am honoured to have been able to do a project like this and I am very happy I pushed myself as hard as I did as I feel that even though there are obviously always going to be things I think I could do better, it really has been proved within both my finished product and each section of my website . I really hope that my website has offered a good amount of explanation and information about my project and how I got into the position I got into to be able to start producing my finished video through my idea development, my pitch, my research, experimentation and more.
