Week 6 - The Pitch

Making My Presentation.

This week, most of what I did consisted of creating my Pitch Presentation to show to my class next week. I was tasked to make a presentation talking about the work I have done so far, mainly just outlining what I am going to be creating and then talking about the research, idea development and experimentation stages of my project as the final product is not yet finished. For my presentation I recorded my voice as I did with the voice acting in garageband, made some edits and then edited the presentation over my voice. I did this in this way so that I could think clearly about what I wanted to say and also could put the presentation itself on the site with my narration.

I made sure to try and keep my voice calm and easily understandable. I also wanted to be relatable to keep the audience engaged and calm so cracked a few small jokes here and there due to my audience being classmates my age but mostly tried my best to sound passionate yet calm and collected as I would with a universal audience.

Overall.

Overall I think this task went well however recording my own voice is something that scares me due to my voice being something I am insecure about so I think doing my pitch this way pushed me out of my comfort zone quite a bit so personally I think that it is possible that maybe I spoke too quietly or nervously at points and looking back I think I would have probably preferred to actually stand up and present my pitch however I am proud of my efforts and am glad I have gotten yet another part of the project done.
