Continuing With Experimentation.
This week I continued experimentation which was my original goal. I added all of last weeks experiments to my site and also started on some more, I mostly experimented with animation and editing this week but also finalised some of the art experimentation too and finalised writing my script which I started last week.
Finalising the script was a big deal for me as it planned out what I was going to do in a really structured and clear way. It also helped me to visualise and plan my upcoming work in the next few weeks a lot better, helping me stay on schedule. Something I actually noticed when looking at my schedule was that I am actually quite ahead of myself in many ways which made me feel really positive as I have been relatively stressed recently.
Completing My First Animatic Draft.
Something really exciting that I also did this week was create my first draft of an animatic therefore combining all of my experimentation so far. This was really useful for me as it allowed me to gain a lot of confidence in my ability and in the project itself. All of this can be found in my Experimentation page, visit there if you would like to see what I have done and read my thoughts on it! I am overall really happy with my progress this week and am looking forward to making more next week.
My animatic that I created this week features only the first part of my story as those are the frames I have drawn/animated so far. I am really pleased with how it turned out and plan to edit it further until it becomes my finished and final product! I will continue to upload my progress to my site in my experimentation and evaluate it each time.
Example.
Evaluation.
I'm really happy with how my animatic experiment turned out. The style I chose based on my inspirations and research worked really well for me, and it made the animation process much easier.
I'm proud of myself for being willing to experiment with different techniques and styles. This helped me to find what works best for me and my project, and it showed that I'm open to exploring new approaches to animation. Moving forward, I know that I need to continue practicing and refining my animation skills. I also want to explore a wider range of styles and techniques, so that I can develop a more diverse set of skills and broaden my creative horizons.
Overall, I feel like my animatic experiment is a strong starting point for my college project. I'm excited to keep working on it and to see where my creativity takes me.
