ASPIRATIONS & GOALS
Since the very earliest days of my life, my dreams, aspirations and goals have always centred around the realm of creativity. From art and stories to music and comics, I've always been making things and I have always been encouraged to nurture this spark. The power of expression through forms of creativity has always been a powerful tool and companion I have been able to access in times of need and encourage others to access too. This constant and everlasting desire to create has shaped my journey through life, leading me to hope for and work toward a career path where I can use these talents for good. To help others while also helping myself. Throughout this summary, I will delve into my abilities and aspirations, explain my chosen pathway and ideal working environment as I understand it and provide an honest reflection on what I believe to be my strengths and weaknesses.
I aspire to build a career around drawing and illustration allowing my creativity to grow in a professional environment. The idea of communicating ideas through visuals and turning ideas into visual narratives has always excited me. Whether it's designing products for a client, making captivating illustrations or crafting compelling stories through my art, the one thing I know for sure is that I will be happy as long as I am creating - my overall goal is to make an impact with my passions and talents in this field. I aspire to build a career that not only allows me to express myself, but also allows others to find themselves within my work, connect to it and perhaps then it even inspires them to create as well.
I can see myself thriving in both collaborative or solo/self-led work environments. I just know that I would need to be in an environment that values creativity and encourages imagination and innovation. Working alongside like-minded individuals would definitely help me to grow as a creator and artist which is essential to my professional fulfilment. I feel that a space like this provides room for freedom, experimentation and inspiration which is essential for my creativity to truly shine to its full potential.
The decision to pursue a creative career stems from my lifelong passion for artistic expression. Whether it's the ability to capture emotions through a sketch or transport someone to a different world with a piece of music, I find inspiration everywhere. My journey has been a gradual progression, a series of steps taken towards aligning my passion with a purposeful career. Each piece of art I create is a testament to my commitment to this pathway.
